Preventive Screenings - Patrius
Have You Scheduled Your Preventive Screening Appointment?
Taking proactive steps today can lead to better health outcomes!
Colon, breast cancer, and bone density scans are important health check-ups that help protect your health. Colon cancer screenings check for signs of cancer in the colon. Breast cancer screenings, like mammograms, help find signs of breast cancer, and bone density scans measure how strong your bones are and if you’re at risk of osteoporosis. Talk to your healthcare provider about the best screening option for you.

The Importance of Early Detection
Catching health problems early is key for better treatment of breast cancer, colon cancer, and bone loss. These health risks can affect both men and women. Preventive screenings like mammograms, colonoscopies, and bone density scans can find health issues before they become serious. Regular screenings are small steps that can make a big difference in your overall health and well-being.
Preventive Screening Recommendations
Colon Cancer:
Men and women aged 45 to 75 should get screened for colorectal cancer, which typically
involves either a colonoscopy or at-home stool test. Talk to your healthcare provider about
which option is best for you and how often you should be screened.
Breast Cancer:
Women should start breast cancer screenings at age 40. Talk to your healthcare provider
about the best option for you and how often you should be screened.
Bone Loss:
Women should get a bone density scan at age 65, and men should start at age 70. If you are
at high risk for osteoporosis, you might need to start screening earlier. Talk to your
healthcare provider about the best option for you and how often you should be screened.
Regular check-ups can help catch health problems early.
Take charge of your health and
schedule your preventive screenings today! It’s an important step for better health!
